Artem Yasynskyy was born in 1988 in Donetsk, Ukraine into a family of classical musicians. At an early age he became a pupil at the Prokofiev Academy’s Special School for Talented Children and later graduated there with Honors.
Since October 2010 he has been studying with Prof. Patrick O’Byrne at the University of the Arts in Bremen.Now he is teaching on the same University.
Artem Yasynskyy has participated with great success in numerous international competitions and music festivals. He won prizes at the Gian Battista Viotti Competition held in Vercelli, the Sendai International Music Competition, the Gina Bachauer Piano Artist Competition, Salt Lake City . He won the Hofmann Prize by the First German Piano Competition of Polish Music held in Hamburg in July 2013. In 2015 he won the Cincinnati Piano Competition and was a finalist of the “Honens Piano Competition” in Calgary, Canada.
He performed at the “Bremer Musikfest”, “Honens Festival”, “Raritäten der Klaviermusik” in Husum, Germany, “Paderewski Festival” in Raleigh in USA, “Kiev Musical Summer Evenings“ Festival.
His many concert appearances have taken him on tour to Norway, South Korea, Italy, Spain, Greece, Russia and throughout Germany.
In 2015 he released his CD by Naxos Grand Piano label with pieces of Joseph Hofmann.
