Dmytro Choni was born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1993. His rst piano lesson he received at the age of four from Galina Zaslavets. He is currently a student at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz.
Dmytro is a laureate of more than dozen international and national competitions. Among them 1st Prize at the I Tucumán International Piano Competition in Argentina (2016), at the XX International Piano Competition “Stefano Marizza” in Italy (2016), at the II International Piano Competition “Tribute to Jurica Murai” in Croatia (2016), at the I International Piano Competition “Ville de Gagny” in France (2013), at the III Ukrainian National Piano Competition “C. Bechstein Award” (2015) and at the VII Alemdar Karamanov International Piano Competition in Crimea (2009).
He has performed with San Marino Symphony, National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, and many others.
Dmytro is a frequent participant of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and receives a scholarship from the Academy. He has taken part in the chamber music project “Colluvio” in Austria and in Zeist Music Days – Chamber Music Festival & Master classes in the Netherlands.
Dmytro performed numerous solo recitals, chamber recitals, and concerts with the orchestra in different venues across the Europe.
